Jirnkee Journey. Fri~Sun 26~28/9/25 (Grand final long weekend). Exploring gold mining and engineering relics associated with the amazing Jirnkee water race, the longest in the southern hemisphere. Exploring the fascinating ruins of its associated gold processing and power supply engineering. Access by remote and rough 4WD tracks. Base camp with campground facilities at Cassilis. Meeting at Bruthen picnic area, Great Alpine Road, near the bakery, 9:30am Friday, so may require a Thursday night start. Finishes at Ensay on Sunday afternoon. $380/vehicle tag-along.
